T.I.P.A. Thinverters™

Compact, passively-cooled power bricks that stack per pole

Technical Summary

Two variants share 90% design commonality: Thin-B60 accepts 48-72V DC and includes an interleaved boost stage to 750V DC-link before the SiC inverter; Thin-B380 accepts 320-420V DC directly into the inverter stage for maximum efficiency. Both use silicon carbide MOSFETs, LCL filtering, and droop-based parallel sharing via CAN/PLC bus. Any brick can be timebase master for redundancy.

Modular Construction

KEY BENEFITS

98-99% Efficiency

Thin-B60: 98.0-98.5% peak efficiency. Thin-B380: 98.5-99.0% peak efficiency. More of your generated power reaches the grid.

Fanless Operation

Passive cooling via finned aluminium enclosure handles up to 10kW without fans. No moving parts means no fan failures.

Hot-Swap Capable

Field replacement in under 30 minutes - just four screws and two quick-connect plugs. Failed slices isolate automatically while others keep running.

15-25% Cost Savings

Compared to conventional string inverters: Thin-B60 saves 8-14%, Thin-B380 saves 15-25% on BOM costs.

Grid Compliant

Meets G98/G99 (UK), EN 50549, and IEEE 1547 standards with anti-islanding, ride-through, and reactive power support.

Thinverters are slim, fanless inverter modules designed specifically for pole-mounted solar installations. Available in two variants - Thin-B60 for low-voltage safety and Thin-B380 for maximum efficiency - they convert DC power from the nano-optimisers into clean grid-compliant AC. With 98-99% efficiency, IP66 weatherproofing, and hot-swap capability, Thinverters deliver reliable performance with minimal maintenance for 25+ years.

Simple Explanation

The Thinverter receives smooth DC power from the nano-optimisers and converts it to standard AC electricity for the grid. Think of it like a translator - it takes the "language" of solar panels and converts it to the "language" the grid understands. Multiple Thinverter slices can work together on a single pole, automatically sharing the load like guitar amps slaved together.
